Having killed it on the collabo front this year, last time you were in the studio for your own music?
I was just talking to my DJ the other night because I’m working on a solo album at the moment and I’m so excited. I just want to hear some new music from myself, but I’m not a fast writer. I envy every rapper out right now because they write so fast. Lil Wayne, T.I., Game… I wish I could have that much output. But I’m hoping it will be out the top of next year and I’m hoping it will be a rap album.

I really pray that it’s rap because that’s what I’m feeling right now. I have a couple of titles, and a couple of concepts, but it really depends on the music. When I’m 75/ 80% done, I’ll know.

Nike Air Yeezy Highs have appeared in over 4 color ways during media shoots and public appearances. The Kanye West shoe will be made in premium leather with perforated air hole breathing in the upper body split of the shoe. Straps across the mid body of the Air Yeezy will be in patent leather on most the releases. The strap will end with a glow in the dark, transparent, logo bubble that’s made to catch the shoe laces.

Nike reported to the Nike Air Yeezys web site that the shoe will release March 2009. Many, including the NikeAirYeezys.com site founder, expect pairs to leak before their official release. Kanye West has made few comments about the shoe directly, but inside sources say the rapper has a very specific plan for their release and he demands to have control of its release schedule and store placement.

Nike sues Wal-mart

Nike officially filed a lawsuit against Wal-mart back in October. The lawsuit claims some of the footwear being sold at Wal-mart stores closely resembles the shoes that Nike produces, such as Nike Shox. Wal-mart does not sell Nike shoes because Nike won't allow it. Nike thinks it would devalue the image of the brand if their shoes were sold in discount chain stores like Wal-mart. Click here to read the article.
